Welcome to the Northern Nevada Human Resources Association Website

We are a non-profit affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).  Our goal is to support the needs of the local HR practitioner to maximize the impact of the HR profession.  Simply stated our mission is to “Serve the Professional…Advance the Profession.

The Chapter offers monthly membership meetings usually held on the second Wednesday of each month.   Meetings include a speaker on a subject directly related to a segment of the human resources field, the latest legal and legislative updates, membership information and an opportunity to network with fellow professionals.

Other offerings include a Legislative Conference, Diversity Conference, legal learning opportunity such as a Mock Trial, HRCI Certification Study Groups, seminars for HRCI recertification, the HR All Stars Awards Dinner, an annual Mixer, job postings, access to a “members only” section of this website, the Chapter Newsletter, and many networking opportunities.

We also provide an advocacy role for HR professionals in the community by partnering with local high schools and the University of Nevada Reno to advance workforce readiness, support educational initiatives and provide scholarships.  New this year is a committee to advance our community relations by partnering with local agencies.

Dedicated volunteer leaders are the key to the success of our chapter.  We welcome you to not only become a member of the Northern Nevada Human Resource Association but to also get involved by joining a committee, becoming a committee chair, board member or an officer.  We welcome your ideas and encourage you to take an active role in the chapter.
