Job: Principal Hydrogeologist

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced hydrogeologist to join our nationally recognized senior technical staff in our Environmental Services (ES) group. The individual in this position will develop and use a MODFLOW groundwater model for the Yerington Mine Project. This position is responsible for developing and using basin scale groundwater flow models that can be linked to chemical fate and transport modeling.

Responsibilities:

* Plan, develop, coordinate, and direct projects of a major scope and provide full hydrogeological technical expertise in areas such as (but not limited to):

o Ground water investigation and supply studies

o Groundwater recharge

o Groundwater modeling

o LUST, RCRA and CERCLA.

* Design and conduct hydrogeological investigations to ensure that accurate and appropriate information is maintained and readily available.
* Evaluate research data in terms of its impact on any potential and existing issues.
* Develop recommended solutions that meet client expectations and goals.
* Prepare written and oral reports describing research results and recommendations.
* Coordinate and supervise the work of professional and technical staff.

Position Requirements:

* MS in hydrogeology and 10 + years of professional hydrogeological experience required including the development, calibration and performance of predictive simulations using a basin-scale numerical flow (MODFLOW) model (the sucessful candidate must demonstrate these skills).
* Excellent technical writing capabilities.
* Previous consulting experience preferred.
* Capable of producing high quality products on schedule and within budget.
* Candidate should be knowledgeable with local and/or regional hydrogeology regulations and licensed as a hydrogeologist or have the ability to become licensed in the near future.
* Candidate should be able to pursue, win and execute work in a team setting.
* Periodic travel for multiple days is anticipated.
