The Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority (RTAA) is seeking experienced law enforcement officers to join the Airport Police force to perform specialized law enforcement duties focusing on aviation security and safety. This position shall be responsible for working in a state of readiness to protect life and property, and actively participate in crime prevention.

The RTAA offers a dynamic work environment – serving over 4.2 million enplaned passengers. At the RTAA, the Airport Police team is a key member of the Operations and Public Safety Department. Airport Police Officers are primarily responsible for performing general law enforcement duties and other emergency response to help provide the public with a safe experience while traveling through the Reno-Tahoe International Airport. The nature of the work requires the ability to act without immediate supervision and exercise independent judgment in emergency situations.
The Airport Police team is dedicated and expected to approach their work in a positive, professional, courteous manner, with a teamwork oriented mindset, as the work may involve collaboration with other law enforcement agencies and interaction with a diverse array of individuals within the airport environment.
